Welcome to the next post in my series highlighting states we have visited throughout the years. I hope you will enjoy coming along for the ride!

I will be featuring the states alphabetically. The next state is

New Hampshire

New Hampshire is one of the original 13 colonies and became the 9th state on June 21, 1788. The capital is Concord.

Before we began our RV adventures, during an early spring trip to New England we traveled along some scenic back roads in New Hampshire. Instead of spending the nights in RV Parks, we spent our nights in inns along the way. We came across three historic covered bridges as we wandered through the beautiful countryside.

We picked up some New Hampshire cheese at Harman’s Cheese and Country Store in Sugar Hill and fudge and other goodies at the Brick Store in Bath.

There was spectacular scenery as we drove along the Kancamagus Highway through the White Mountains. A hike on snow and ice beside a partially frozen creek  was worth it for a close up view of Sabbaday Falls.

  5. Ah, home. 🙂 You have some nice shots that really brought a big smile. My grandparents’ farm was 4 miles from the Bath covered bridge. I couldn’t begin to count the number of times I’ve shopped at the Brick Store. They have the best smoked pepperoni. Thanks for the great post.

  6. How beautiful is this state? Another one I hope we get to visit, maybe sooner rather than later. We are starting to expand our travels….this one is do-able. But not during the winter! Thanks for showing how amazing it is then.

    1. Yes, it is a beautiful state. We were there the first week of April and as you can see there was still plenty of snow and ice all around. The White Mountains covered in snow were spectacular.

  8. We are headed up that way right now and we keep hearing about the Kankamagus Highway. I grew up in New England and somehow never heard of it before… but now it’s on our “must see” list. We’re looking forward to it!

  9. I enjoy your blog. It is fun to travel the country. It’s mazing how different we, as Americans, are depending upon where we live. I will be heading back to NH for a week in July. It’s home for me, but I haven’t lived there in 30 years. Thanks for this. Jackson is one of my favorite towns, anywhere. Its so quaint, picturesque.
