  1. We had the rare pleasure of seeing a painted bunting on a lazy stream in southern Minnesota. It was perched on the most fragile stem of long grass arching over the water. No camera with us, alas, but it’s forever in my memory. Thank you for your lovely photo.

  2. So pretty. I’m always amazed that birds like this are able to survive in the wild. They’re like Liberace trying to blend in in a war zone. Makes no sense. (I am obviously not a naturalist, if you can’t tell đŸ˜‚)
