Lens-Artists #62: Silhouettes

This week, Patti has challenged us to find photos that feature silhouettes. For this challenge I chose some of my favorite sunset and sunrise photos from our travels. The photo above is of Henry enjoying the sunset over the Pacific Ocean on the beach at Cape Disappointment State Park, Washington.

I walked from our campsite at Golden Hill State Park to capture this silhouette of the Thirty Mile Light at sunset.

Some of my favorite sunset and sunrise pictures have silhouettes of trees.

  1. What a beautiful collection, Beth. The shot of Henry with his hat really makes us wonder more about him and helps define him. Your sunsets are beautiful, too. Great moods, great atmosphere, and beautiful colors.

    1. Judy, I started organizing my photos by date years ago. If I name them and put them in a folder as soon as I upload them to the computer it’s much easier to keep them organized. I wish I could say everything else in my house is as organized as my photos!

  2. Love the selection of images – all wonderful captures! Interesting clouds over the Mississippi grab your attention but my favorite is the one at Big Cypress. Great silhouette of the trees against the fiery sky!
