In this challenge guest host Jez tells us that “seeing double is all about reflections.” The best opportunities for me to capture reflections occur when I am photographing landscapes and wildlife close to a body of water.
One of my favorite places to see reflections is in the Okefenokee Swamp in south Georgia. The header image and this next gallery were all taken while exploring the Okefenokee.

The next gallery shows some of my favorite bird reflections. The trio of Roseate Spoonbills was taken in Texas, the other three images were taken in Florida.

One of my favorite reflection images is this final image taken at Crescent Lake, Washington.
Many thanks to guest host Jez of Photos by Jez for this Lens-Artists Challenge #107 – Seeing Double
The trees and the birds are amazing, the alligator scares me, and if I was you I’d ‘have’ to see that Crescent Lake photo on my wall every single day. I’d give that photo a 12 on a scale of 1-10. It is truly beautiful and for this amateur photographer, I’m in awe ‘again’ of your photography skills.

These are terrific Beth! I love cypress trees and would love to visit the Okefenokee. We have some here but not in the same quantity. Your gator looks like he’s got a mouthful of something! He’s a big boy isn’t he?!?! And of course I love your birds and that beautiful final image – wow! Terrific response this week.

Tina, thank you! When we were still going on RV trips we camped at a state park in the Okefenokee many times. It was one of our favorite places. Have you ever been to Congaree National Park? I’ve wondered if it is anything like the Okefenokee.
That last image of Crescent Lake is one of my favorites and we just stumbled upon in driving around the Olympic Peninsula in Washington.

Hi Beth, I haven’t been to Congaree but I don’t think there is as much water as Okefenokee. It’s on my list tho so I’ll let you know what I think afterwards.

Beautiful gallery, Beth. Water birds are such great subjects. I especially love your Crescent Lake photo.
I’ve tried to leave a comment and like on your post before, Beth, but the WP gremlins kept putting a stop to that. Thankfully, they were distracted this time.
