For this challenge guest host Dawn Miller has chosen Fences as our topic.
One of the first fences I thought of was Tom Sawyer’s Fence in Hannibal, Missouri.

This next fence from the Texas Hill Country is one of my favorites. I’ve included it it other challenges because I love the boots on top of the fence posts.

This next fence keeps people safe as they are walking along this mountain trail.

I can’t resist capturing animals behind fences.

Many thanks to guest host Dawn for the challenge Lens-Artists Challenge #258- Fences

Love all the animals looking over the fences. I had a fence around my garden in New Hampshire just like the one in your first photo. Thank you for working on being able to comment, it works for me now. 😊😊

Karen, so glad you are able to comment now! I’m happy you like the images. The animals were all hoping for a handout! The fence in the first image is in my backyard.

LOL! The boot adorned fence is fun! There’s one similar out near Mt. Shasta in California that I saw once many years ago. I love all the animals!

Thank you! The boot with the fences was in Texas. Except for the horse, the animals were all hoping I would give them a treat

I like the boots on a fence! For a laugh, I can tell you that there is a fence in Iceland covered in bras!

Pam, that beats the boots by a long shot!

Ha, ha! And all different colors and sizes – what a hoot! It’s right along the main road.

Boots on the fence? What is that about?

Dawn, it was in Texas! There must be a story behind it but I haven’t got a clue what it is.

Well it is interesting. Boots are just so expensive…but not if you are from Texas, I suppose.
Thanks for sharing, it is a very cool image.

Thank you Nancy! We stumbled upon the boots on the fence posts when driving around the Texas hill country in search of bluebonnets. Happy weekend to you, too!

That fence with the boots on the posts is quite close to us.

Pit, you live in a beautiful area! We would never have discovered that fence if not for a Ranger at Longhorn Caverns who told us where to go in search of bluebonnets.

That spot, the Willow City Loop, is famous for its wildflowers. We love to go there.

Hi Beth, we interpreted those boots as a welcome sign when we visited hill country for Bluebonnet season several years back. To this day, the photo I took there is a favorite. Love your backyard fence. Great challenge.

Suzanne, weren’t those boots fun to see? We saw plenty of bluebonnets when we were driving around the hill country. The drive where we saw the boots was our favorite place.

Ours too. It’s just very hard to pinpoint exactly when and where the Bluebonnets will be blooming.

Mike and Kellye, the goats seem to be a favorite. I’m surprised at how many other bloggers have seen the boots on the fence.

Loved all your choices, Beth. The last one made me laugh. The goats are clearly focused on, most likely, snacks in the vicinity. The boot fence is great. I would have loved running across that on our trip through Texas. I didn’t’ know you could visit Tom Sawyers home, until this challenge. My favorite image is your feature. There is just something about flowers against fences that I love. Very nice.

Donna, so glad you enjoyed my images. The boots on the fence are on a little side road in the Texas Hill Country called the Willow City Loop. We felt like we were taken back in time as we walked around the town of Hannibal, Missouri. There is a museum and you can even go on a riverboat ride.

Looked for Hannibal on the map, in the event it is in our path next week.
