For Sofia’s challenge of Day and Night I chose an image of the full moon rising for my header. The following images from my archives are photos showing the same subject at day and at night.
The Pitons of St. Lucia at day and at night.

View of Mount Redoubt from Ninilchik, Alaska at day and at sunset.

Cinderella’s Castle at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom at day and at night

Many thanks our host Sofia for her challenge Lens-Artists #284 -Day and Night

Great pics. I don’t know why, but I’ve always shied away from night photography. Your images have me rethinking my thought process.

Thanks Ingrid. I usually stay away from night photography, too. The photos usually don’t turn out well. I really had to hunt foe these.

Beth, these photos are gorgeous, especially since they show the same locations. The Cinderella’s castle is just so more mesmerizing at night. I love the nature shots, especially the Pitons of St. Lucia.

Thank you so much! I don’t take a lot of night photos so I enjoyed going through my archives to find these. We’ve been to the Magic Kingdom several times through the years. The castle and the entire park is really magical after dark.

Beth, l am not much of a night photographer. Those photos happened by mere chance. I know what you mean about the Magic Kingdom at night. We’ve been there a couple of times and experienced that, too.

I hope you have another go at nighttime photography, your examples are great. St Lucia pair is my favourite, lovely moonlight on the second one.

Patti, I’m glad you enjoyed my images. I captures those Alaska images when we were camping on a beach in Ninilchik. The sun was setting about 11:30 at night when I captured the sunset photo.

What a great idea to include Cinderella’s Castle. It is amazing how it changes with the lighting. That is Disney. I loved the St. Lucia shots, especially the day time. To think of where you are standing to get the photos…must be mesmerizing. Gorgeous, Beth.

Donna, thank you! I love the Magic Kingdom and Cinderella’s Castle at night. The daytime photo oh the Pitons was taken many years ago from a home on the side of a hill we rented. The night photo was from a cruise ship.
