We drive 17 south to St Simon’s and stop to eat at Skippers

Alice, We always skip I-95 and go on 17. On this trip we spent the night in Darien and had dinner at Skippers. we’ve eaten there several times.

I love the Darien waterfront. Several years agon, I took a photo of the shrimp boats and had it blown up to a large format for our home.

Donna, we have been driving through Darien for many years. They have revitalized some of the old buildings on the side of 17 where Skippers is. There are also a couple of small condo developments on the river and a very nice boutique hotel. The part of Darien on 17 still looks the same as it always has.
