Terri’s latest Sunday Stills challenge of Feathers inspired me to get out and take a few bird photos early yesterday morning. The featured image was taken in January on Jeklyll Island, Georgia. The rest were taken yesterday.

Many thanks to Terri for her Sunday Stills challenge Fine Feathered Friends
Every Day is a Gift

Great images. Your feature photo is fantastic. I don’t know what the little guy is. Let’s just call him–Bird!

Gorgeous! This might be a black and white chicadee. According to Google.

Thanks Terri. I have chickadees at my bird feeder all the time but this one was high up in a tree. I had never seen one from below before!

That first image is pretty neat. I really how the branch under the Egret looks like the long neck, head, and beak of another heron like bird looking up at it.
I don’t know what your little bird is. Have you run the image through Merlin to see what suggestions it gives you?

You’re welcome! I really like that Merlin app. It doesn’t always know the right bird but, it usually gets you in the ballpark for easier Identification.
I hope you’re able to figure it out.

Thanks Vicki. That’s what Google told me. I’ve never seen one here before. It’s so hard to tell by looking up at the bird.

Love the bird shots, especially the Great Egret! That little one on the branch looks tricky, maybe a warbler or a sparrow? Gorgeous photos!

Thanks Nancy! I still haven’t identified the little bird. I think there was another one nearby. I heard them chirping at each other.
