According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, the definition of staycation is “a vacation spent at home or nearby.”
There are so many fun things to see and do near where we live that we decided to stay home this summer instead of wandering in the RV. Here are just a few things we’ve enjoyed so far this summer.

Nothing wrong with experiencing the beauty right outside your front door. 🙂

I love staycations! We’re currently back in our hometown of Ashland regrouping before our next year of travel, and having a blast “staycationing” in our old stomping grounds. 🙂 That salt marsh is beautiful.

We’ve enjoyed nature around our urban area: bald eagles along the Missouri River, the confluence of said river and the mighty Mississippi, wildflowers in Shaw Nature Preserve, and possums in our grape arbor!

I love the Georgia coast. We used to go to St. Simons regularly when we lived in Georgia. Great place for dogs.

We love the Georgia coast, too! We love to travel and see other places but there’s no place like home.
