For this challenge Sofia tells us “we’re looking for Water in Motion, gentle or powerful, man-made or natural, the choice is yours”.
I chose several images of natural moving water. My header shows powerful waves in the Atlantic Ocean created by an approaching tropical storm. These next images are other examples of powerful water movement in oceans.

I’ll go out of my way to see a waterfall. The following gallery includes four waterfalls, all named Bridal Veil Falls.

The final two images are of water cascading over rocks.

Many thanks to our host Sofia for the challenge Lens-Artists #293 – Water in Motion

Wow! Each photo is magnificent and so beautiful. The ocean images are wonderful, and the waterfalls take my breath away.

Terrific post this week Beth – lots of powerful water captures. The opener reminds me of times when we hope the storm will not hit us full force! And I laughed at all of the bridal veil falls – do we have NO imagination when we name places !?!? My favorite this week is your Yosemite image.

Tina, I’m with you about the waves before a storm! I could have included a lot more waterfalls but when I kept finding ones named Bridal Veil I couldn’t resist only using them.

Thanks Ingrid. I have so many water photos I had a hard time narrowing it down to just a few.

Nancy, isn’t that a hoot about all of the Bridal Veil falls. I’m sure there are probably others that I’ve never been to. Glad you enjoyed my photos.

While admiring the beauty, never underestimate the power of water. It’s amazing on both counts. Great photos.

Judy, so true about the power of water. I’ve seen first hand what flooding can do. Have a great week!

I found it interesting you showcased four different Bridal Veil Falls. All as beautiful as the next, but I do love the NC image where you seem to be under it. And Punchbowl is a great addition too!

Donna, thank you. I had a hard time deciding what waterfall images to use. When I found those four Bridal Veil Falls I wanted to have a little fun by using them. You are right about the NC image. I was standing behind the falls. I did some research today and there are a lot more Bridal Veil Falls in the U.S. Glad you enjoyed the Punchbowl.
