Lens Artists Photo Challenge #298 – To Be Young Again

For this challenge Tina challenges us to create a post that features children or young animals.

Although I have few images of children I have plenty of images of young birds and other animals. The header image of a mother sea otter with her baby on her stomach is one of my favorites.

Great Egret with chicks
Ducklings

Alaskan Husky Puppy
Calves
Mama duck with ducklings
White tail doe with fawn

I’ll finish with some young girls participating in events at a Scottish Games Festival in Savannah.

Many thanks to our host Tina for her challenge Lens-Artists #298 – To Be Young Again

  1. What an adorable response! I loved all the photos. The egret chick was so cute in a messy kind of way. They all seem to have bad hair days all the time. The ducks, calves, and all others are great, too.

  2. haha. I laughed at the duckling image. Complete confidence in their waddle on that day, Beth. I especially love the set from the Scottish Games. Two completely different passions to still enjoy the day. Very nice.

    1. Donna, Mama duck was following behind those ducklings as they waddled along. The dancers at the Scottish games were great and the little girl in the tartan was leading her clan in the opening ceremonies.

    1. We saw the mama otter and her baby on a wildlife cruise in Alaska. The captain of the boat got us close to the otters and stayed there for a while so we could watch them. I agree. They are fun to watch.

  3. Have to love baby animals (and human babies as well, grin). Fun captures! River otters have been busy swimming by our RV on the Noyo River in Northern California the last few days. Unfortunately, I haven’t seen any babies.

  4. Such cute photos, I especially liked the one of the mother sea otter with her baby and the egret and chicks. Those are moments we hope to see one day but often doesn’t happen. It took me two summers at our lake house in Maine to capture a Loon swimming with a chick on her back.

    1. Karen, I just happened to be in the right place at the right time to capture those animal mothers with their babies. I’ve never seen a Loon swimming with a chick on her back! That must have been fun to see and capture a photo of it.
