Lens Artists Photo Challenge #323 – Silence

Egidio has asked us to explore silence in photography.

I experience silence in nature, especially when I am in a wilderness area far away from cities and civilization. My header image was taken on a boat ride through the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge.

Many thanks to our host Egidio for the challenge Lens-Artists #323 – Silence

  1. I would love to be out in the Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge in our kayaks, Beth. It looks like the perfect place to float along quietly, listening to silence, but also the sounds of the natural world. I’ve cross country skied and camped in Denali during the winter. Talk about silence! Although the wolves howling at night added a unique chorus… 🙄

    1. Curt, your are so right. The Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge is a great place to kayak or canoe. I wouldn’t recommend going in the warm months unless you like getting attacked by mosquitoes. Experiencing Denali in the winter sounds like an amazing adventure but a little too cold for me!

  2. Greetings Beth! I know I commented on your post because I specifically talked about how much your opening image reminded me of our Magnolia Gardens. It’s a beautiful post but I’m especially fond of that one. Somehow WP is not carrying my comments correctly, sigh.
