On Tuesday, October 13, 2026, 6:33 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time, a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket launched successfully from Cape Canaveral, Florida. The rocket was on a resupply mission to the International Space Station.
The sky was perfectly clear as I waited for the rocket to appear. Just a few minutes after launch the Falcon 9 lit up the sky with it’s exhaust plume known as a Space Jellyfish.
What an amazing way to start a Tuesday morning!

Oh wow! Oh wow!! Oh wow!!! Beth, what a perfect image! To be honest, I’d neither seen, nor even heard of a “space jellyfish” – and you got it on your phone?!? Utterly brilliant. And Beth, thank you so much for sharing it with us. IMO – you really ought to frame this shot! xx

Thanks Pam! I had to look up “Space jellyfish” because I had never heard of it before. I never have successful with night photography using my camera. I get much better nite photos with my phone.
