Lens Artists Photo Challenge #373 – Looking back to Challenge #31 – Landscape
Egidio is looking back to Amy’s Challenge #31 from February 2, 2019: Landscape. I enjoy landscape photography and have many landscape photos in my archives. Usually I would post landscape photos of things like beaches, sunrises and sunsets but for this challenge I decided to focus on one subject that I have returned to more than once.
New Mexico, the Land of Enchantment, is on my mind this week. I recently returned from a weekend in Albuquerque to attend my nephew’s wedding and spend time with my family. I also got to enjoy magnificent views of the Sandia Mountains. The featured image is of the Sandia Mountains just before sunset the night before the wedding.
This was not our first visit to Albuquerque. During our RV travels we passed through there a couple of times and in 2023 I attended the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. Here are a few views of these mountains from some of our earlier visits.
On one of our visits we took a scenic drive to the top of Sandia Crest to take in the gorgeous views.

Cellpic Sunday – Evening and Morning Sky
On the night of the full moon last week the evening sky was filled with pink contrails just before sunset and the sky the next morning was just as spectacular. The featured image is the night of the full moon, the next image is what I woke up to the next morning.

Remembering Cee – Black and White Bridge
Cee Neuner was a wonderful photographer who brought joy to many with her beautiful flowers and other images.
Sadly, Cee passed away earlier this year. Today would have been her 64th birthday. Dan Antion of No Facilities and Marsha Ingrao of Always Write share the November 7 birthday with Cee. Today they are hosting a 1 day photo challenge in her memory. Many thanks to them both.

Sunday Stills – Hooves and Claws
Terri’s latest Sunday Stills challenge is Hooves and Claws in honor of National Bison Day which was celebrated on Saturday, November 1, 2025. She tells us that “this week’s Sunday Stills photo challenge is not just about bison, but about members of the animal kingdom that possess HOOVES and CLAWS.”
I decided to focus only on animals with hooves and mostly on bison and buffalo. Sadly, the hooves aren’t visible in all these images. The header image is of a small herd of American Bison at Land Between the Lakes in Kentucky.
