Lens Artists Photo Challenge #398 – Choose a Color

Ritva’s challenge is to choose one color and feature up to six images where the color is the prominent hue or feature one image for each of these six colors: red, blue, green, purple, orange, and yellow.

How lovely yellow is! It stands for the sun. – Vincent Van Gogh

I chose yellow for my color because it is my favorite color. Yellow makes me smile and brings me joy, happiness, and optimism.

I hope these yellows will brighten your day:

Last week you showed us amazing textures in response to Anne’s challenge. Thank you to everyone who joined the challenge..

Lens Artists Photo Challenge #352 – Mellow

This challenge from Sofia is Mellow. She asks us to “Show us what gives you a mellow mood of calmness and cosiness; your favourite spot to relax, a beautiful scenery, a nice cup of coffee with a delicious slice of cake… and convey that sense of relaxation, with subdued warm tones, soft shapes and focus.”

The featured image is a sunset over a Georgia salt marsh. I hope the rest of the images bring you a sense of calm.

What better way to end the day than with with a Mellow Yellow Sunset

Last week Ritva’s challenge was Books. I loved seeing all of the books and libraries from so many book lovers. Next week will be my first week hosting the Lens-Artists challenge. Look for my post on Saturday, June 14 at noon Eastern Standard Time.

Exploring Nature’s Golden Yellows with Gardens, Flowers, and Butterflies

Terri’s Sunday Stills challenge is Nature’s Golden Yellows. The Lens-Artists challenge from Ann-Christine is What’s in a Garden? Both these challenge have flowers and nature in common so combining them into one post made perfect sense to me.

I’ve discovered many golden yellow flowers and butterflies during walks in nature and when visiting gardens. The following images are a few of my favorites.

Yellow at Calloway Gardens

Garden in Alaska

Yellow Butterfly

Yellow Meyer Lemon in my garden

I’ll finish with a gallery of yellow flowers

Many thanks to Ann-Christine for her Lens-Artists Challenge #311 What’s In a Garden?
