Anne of Slow Shutter Speed has asked us to choose a lens and go for a walk.
I grabbed my camera and 18-55mm lens and went for for a walk on the nearly deserted beach at the North End of Tybee Island, Georgia. I managed to time my walk between rain showers on a dreary, overcast January Sunday afternoon.

I kept my shoes on for my walk. It was wonderful to walk on the sand and to hear the ocean waves. Any day at the beach is a good day.
Many thanks to Anne of Slow Shutter Speed for her challenge Lens-Artists Challenge #233 – One Lens Walk
That’s a fun challenge. It looks like a peaceful day and lovely walk.

I like the beach in the winter when there are not many people out. I picked a perfect time that day. It rained all day after I got home.

You really did pick the best time!

“Any day on the beach is a good day” – truer words were never spoken Beth! And sometimes the clouds are our friends because it’s a wholly different experience vs a sunny day. I loved your cloudy day stroll and the features you found. The shoes were my favorite today.

Tina, in the summer lots of people leave their shoes at the end of the boardwalk and pick them up after their time at the beach. These looked like they had been dropped from the boardwalk. I couldn’t resist taking a picture of them.

The shoe photo seems to be a big hit. I debated including it but I’m glad I did.

Yes it’s fun. And since you didn’t see a person, there is a story.

Beth, I often come across shoes on my beach walks – usually with no owner in sight. It baffles me how anyone could forget their shoes. Thanks for sharing your beautiful walk.

In the summer when the beach is crowded I often see shoes left at the end of the boardwalk. I assume whoever left them wanted to feel their toes in the sand.
