Lens Artists Photo Challenge #292 – People Here, There and Everywhere

Tina has challenged us to show people. I usually don’t take a lot of people pictures and I’m not very good at taking them but I managed to come up with a few images for the challenge. The two musicians in my header image entertained us with Celtic music in a pub in Dingle, Ireland a few years ago.

We were serenaded with a Bob Wills classic while we enjoyed our steak at the Big Texan Steak House in Amarillo, Texas
Street musician in Galway, Ireland
Two crew members preparing a hot air balloon for launch at the Albuquerque Balloon Festival.
Katz’s Delicatessen in New York City
Cooking lobster on the ship Viking Sea

I’ll finish with a gallery of three tour guides we enjoyed during our travels.

Many thanks to our host Tina for the challenge Lens-Artists #292 – People Here, There and Everywhere

  1. I remember as a child that Bob Wills held a jam session in the house next door to ours in the California foot hills. Drove my mother, who didn’t like country music crazy. Grin. Much later, Peggy and I visited Turkey, Texas where he was raised. It seems appropriate that you were celebrated with a Bob Will’s classic while eating at a Texas steakhouse.

    1. Curt, so glad that my mention of Bon Wills brought back a childhood memories! We had been to the Big Texan once before. On this trip we were on an RV trip on our way to New Mexico to visit family. The musicians played as they went through the dining room. They stopped at our table and asked if we had any requests. Henry asked for something by Bob Wills. They played “Faded Love”. Every time I I hear that song I think of the Big Texan 🙂 How fun to visit his hometown!

    1. Rita, many thanks! The St.Kitts tour guide kept us entertained the entire tour. He was also told us a lot about his island. And the cook grilling the lobster not only was happy about cooking them but he cooked them perfectly!
