No, we had a big snow storm in 1989. The snow was deeper and it stayed on the ground a few days. We’ve had ice storms since then but not much snow that stuck
Thanks! We have had a fire going in the fireplace all day. The outside temperature got above freezing this afternoon but it is getting below freezing again tonight.
Even you have snow. Oh my gosh. Our snow is not melting because we are going below zero each night. It has been wicked cold here today. Hope yours melts soon.
Ingrid, yes it is beautiful. Today is day 2 of snow on the ground. It is starting to melt as the temperature rises but it is predicted to get below freezing tonight so in the morning there will be ice. We haven’t ventured out beyond our house!
Beth, I have been thinking of you. I have seen some beautiful ‘snow day’ FB posts from Jekyll Island and Cumberland. North Florida (where my family lives) got about 4 inches of snow. We have the cold, dreary, depressing days, but no snow to make it worthwhile. I love your photos.
Suzanne, we got about 2 inches of snow. There is still snow on the ground but it is starting to melt. Some of the roads still have ice and are dangerous to drive on. We’ve just been staying warm at home enjoying the view outside. They are predicting temperatures below freezing again tonight. I’m glad you enjoyed the photos.
Nancy, I’ve made gallons of soup and we’ve been warm inside by the fireplace. It’s Friday morning and there is still snow on the ground. It started melting a little yesterday.
This certainly has been a strange winter so far. We have had two 39 degree lows in our Florida beach town. Everyone is talking about the weather, saying it is still better than many parts of the south.
Our weather has been crazy. The nights have gotten below freezing and it warms up during the day. There is still some snow on the ground. Very unusual to have it stay around so long.
Wow! Is it the first time ever?

We saw some overnight freezing temps but no moisture. I’m sure it’s pretty to look at but hopefully it’ll melt quickly.
