The color rosy red makes me think of Roseate Spoonbills. A few years ago I captured these beauties when we visited the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Wading Bird Rookery. During nesting season wading birds come to nest in the trees there. These nesting birds are wild and can come and go as they please.

The Roseate Spoonbills live in parts of Florida, Texas, southwest Louisiana, and parts of coastal Georgia in the United States. They are beautiful to see in the wild.

Nancy, thank you! I used to have to travel to Texas or Florida to see the Spoonbills but now we sometimes see them during the summer in coastal Georgia.

Lindy, the Spoonbills are interesting to watch when they are feeding. They scoop up the food with their bills.
