Our guest host SH has challenged us to show Quiet Hours. In his post he asks us “what makes for “Quiet Hours” to you. How do you see it in an image? How do you navigate the idea?”
My favorite quiet hours are early morning. These quiet times help me feel peaceful and calm before I start my day.
The featured image above was taken on a misty morning looking out at a field in rural Georgia. If you look closely you can see some deer at the far end of the field. The next three images were taken early in the morning when no one else was up yet.
Another time I feel the quiet is when traveling on a lonely road with no other vehicles in sight.
Many thanks to Ann-Christine for her challenge of Creativity and to all of you for your wonderful responses. I hope you’ll join us on Saturday, July 19 at noon Eastern Time as Egidio hosts the next challenge.
Many thanks to our guest host SH for this challenge Lens-Artists #356 – Quiet Hours

Your photos show that it pays to get up early! And I love the sight of those empty roads in Alaska 😀

Sarah, thank you so much! We drove many miles on the roads in Alaska and the Yukon without seeing another vehicle.

Thank you so much. The fog made it kind of spooky on my morning walk to that wooden bridge. We were camped in a Florida State Park.

That highway is LONG! My husband drove from Anchorage, Alaska to Florida when he went to college!

I love the morning quiet as well. Especially when the AC is off and the windows are open and only the birds are chirping.
Beautiful pictures, Beth! I loved that back country road!

We were up very early on a beautiful morning recently and drove on empty roads. We should do it more often.

I agree. I ought to try to get out to do early cycle rides in these summer months, but I find it very hard to get up early these days.

A beautiful post Beth – my favorite this week is that beautiful image of the fog in Florida but it was a tough choice! (OK Alaska was a close second 😉

Thanks Tina! We were camped in a state park in Florida when I captured the bridge in the fog. I was up early walking our dog and no other campers were up that early. We spent MANY quiet hours driving on empty roads in Alaska. We couldn’t even get anything on the raidio in a lot of places.
