Beth, I saw the video on FB. Wow, what an undertaking. Great photo. Did you watch the show?

Suzanne, I didn’t know the video of the rescue went viral! I took this photo that morning. We didn’t go out to the beach to watch in person but we watched the helicopter from a distance right after it lifted the buoy and began flying away from the beach. Very cool.

The video was awesome. Watching those guys standing under the helicopter, doing their jobs with such precision – incredible.

I can imagine how amazing it was to witness it transported away by helicopter… like something out of a movie! Awesome.

Judy, we didn’t go to the beach to watch the helicopter lift it up. If you search the internet there are videos. We could see the helicopter flying above the trees after they lifted it up. Very cool

Required a helicopter to get it back in place. Wow.

Diana, I don’t know if they are all this big. This one was a channel marker.

That’s an amazing capture. The surf must have been massively strong.

Thanks John. There were three storms that went by offshore the week before. They caused strong currents. We also had extremely high tides and high winds before it washed up.
