Happy New Year!
Once again the Lens-Artists team is starting the new year by asking our followers to share their favorite images of 2025. Your images can be from a previous post or ones you’ve never shared before but they must have been taken in 2025. There is no single host for this challenge. The entire team is sharing the challenge.
In 2025 we went on a Mississippi River cruise, took a few short road trips, and had fun in New Mexico at my nephew’s wedding. When we weren’t wandering we enjoyed being at home in Coastal Georgia. Here are a few of my favorite images from the year.
January
The year began with a rare coastal Georgia snow storm. The featured image of a cardinal in the snow is one my favorites from the year. Later in the month we made a short trip to Jekyll Island.

February
We flew to New Orleans to begin a Mississippi River cruise.

March, April and May at home

June
We celebrated my birthday with a boat trip to Daufuskie Island, South Carolina.

July
We celebrated our 55th anniversary in Darien, Georgia.

August and September in the Garden

October
We had a fun trip to New Mexico for my nephew’s wedding and enjoyed seeing the beautiful Sandia Mountains.

November
The November morning skies were amazing.

December
The holiday decorations always add to the fun of the season.

I hope you will join us in the challenge by sharing your favorite photos of 2025. I’m looking forward to seeing your responses. Be sure to use the Lens-Artists tag in your post and include a link to this post or any member of the Lens-Artists team.
Be sure to check back on Saturday, January 10 at noon eastern time when Anne will be hosting our next challenge.

Thanks Anne! It’s always had to choose just a few favorites. I’m glad you liked these.

An amazing set for the challenge Beth – many favorites, including the little cardinal in the snow, the beautiful azaleas, the shrimp boats and the little anole. But they are all wonderful and so reminiscent for me of our low country here in South Carolina. A terrific set of images from an obviously bountiful year!

A wonderful selection with some great travel shots, Beth. I love that New Orleans Bridges view with the lights of the Mardi Gras. On our journey to Jekyll Island, we saw that bridge from the island, but we didn’t get to cross it. Your image is much more detailed than mine!

Thanks John. I’m glad you enjoyed the images. Those purple lights on the bridges in New Orleans were fun to see. I was able to capture the Sidney Lanier Bridge from a park on the north side of the bridge.

Donna, many thanks. I had fun remembering all the events of the year as I went through my photos. It was hard choosing just one photo for each month. I’m glad you enjoyed them.

Thanks Judy! I started the new year off with the flu and haven’t been able to take any pictures yet. Hopefully I’ll be out and about soon. Happy New Year!

I sincerely hope you are feeling better and will continue to improve. The flu stats are bad here so I’ve actually gone back to wearing a mask when doing errands. My husband is especially vulnerable so I do what I can to avoid it.

Thanks Sofia! I occasionally see an anole in the garden but rarely see one on top of a flower.
