Although my backyard bird feeder in coastal Georgia attracts many varieties of birds, my favorites are the Painted Buntings. I keep the feeder filled with their favorite seeds all year round.

I enjoy watching the Ruby Throated hummingbirds as they dart between the three hummingbird feeders and the flowers in the butterfly garden.

Thanks you Lisa. for this challenge at Bird Weekly Challenge #8 – Birds at the Feeder
What great photos of the painted bunting and the hummingbird. We have to claw & get lucky to see a painted bunting. They donโt come to our house but we thought we saw one in the beach parking lot yesterday. We have 3 ruby throats that love our Lions Ear & Plumbago. I canโt ever get a pic though. Frank keeps saying he is going to build a blind. ๐

Beautiful! Now I can identify a painted bunting. I love feeding the birds, too. Have a good day!

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a Painted Bunting before, but they are quite lovely. I like the feeder which I’m assuming keeps the larger birds away. The hummingbird shot is a beauty. It could be an example in a photography class for the rest of us to try and achieve – gorgeous.

Judy, the feeder keeps the big birds away but seeds still drop to the ground and we get cardinals that eat those seeds. You are so sweet to say that about my photography. I really appreciate it.
