For this week’s Bird Weekly Challenge Lisa has asked us to show flocks of birds. The above image is of a flock of Roseate Spoonbills on the Texas Gulf Coast.

Thanks you Lisa. for this challenge. Her original post is Bird Weekly Challenge #14 – Flocks
Four beautiful photos, but the first one of the Roseate Spoonbills took my breath away. Wow! That is an amazing shot. Thank you!

Judy, thank you. I had to be fast to capture those spoonbills in the air. They were all on the ground and then all of a sudden, up they went! It was a beautiful sight to see.

Stunning! Capturing birds in flight is something I struggle with, and a flock is that much more of a challenge — your shots are gorgeous!

Ellen, thank you! I have a hard time capturing birds in flight, too. Most of the time I end up with empty sky!

Terri, thank you! I agree, getting shots of flocks of birds is difficult for me. I usually like to zoom in on one or two together and forget to get shots of the entire flock.
