Painted Buntings and Ruby Throated Hummingbirds are two of my favorite back yard birds. I’ve seen them daily for the last few days and managed to get a few captures of these gorgeous birds.

Thank you Lisa. for this Bird Weekly challenge. Her original post is Bird Weekly Challenge #15 – Birds with Green Feathers.
What beauties! I just saw a painted bunting a these past few days too. Earliest ever for me! Lovely birds!

Thank you Pam! They usually come here in spring and early fall. This year I have seen a pair but they don’t usually come to the feeder at the same time. He will get out in the open more than she will.

Wow Wow Wow! That Painted Bunting is something else. I have photos of them, but nothing like that. Your hummingbird photography is awesome too! I can’t seem to get one unless it is perched. Don’t have the lens to capture the quickness of their little wings. đ

Lisa, thank you! I’ve had lots of practice with the buntings in our back yard. I have better results with my zoom lens so I had it all ready this morning.
