A bright red cardinal in the winter is one of my favorite pictures. Enjoy your day!

Well, I’d say you nailed it with a flock of handsome guys with red feathers. 🙂

Judy, I’ve been watching out for Cardinals for several days and haven’t seen any. The photo I included is from a few years ago.

Yay for archives! You have some awesome shots here and that first one is just WOW! Head sticking out of the hole. I know that has to be one of your fondest memories! I love seeing woodpeckers stick their heads out like that but never captured one that good. 🙂

Lisa, that woodpecker was in a tree right next to our campsite in Salt Springs a few years ago. I watched him in that tree every day.

That is so cool! We love Salt Springs. We go by the boat ramp whenever we are going to Tampa or coming back. Just to look over at the water for a bit while heading home or heading down there. What a lucky camping trip! 🙂

What beautiful shots Beth! I especially love the first one. I haven’t seen a painted bunting since I was a child. I always hope to see one when we go to St. Simons but we never seem to be there at quite the right time. How long do you see them at your place?

Brenda, I’m glad you enjoyed these birds. I usually see the painted buntings in spring and fall. I spent more time than usual watching birds in the yard this year so I saw them pretty often. .
