Lens Artists Photo Challenge #250 – Skyscapes or Cloudscapes

For this challenge Amy has asked us to share our cloudscapes over land, sea, or cities, or just clouds. For the header image I chose an image of cloud covered mountains as we were leaving Valdez, Alaska on last years Alaska cruise.

The rest of these images include storm clouds, rainbows, and clouds over the Mississippi River at sunrise.

Many thanks to Amy for challenging us to focus on Skyscapes and Cloudscapes. You can find her original post at Lens-Artists Challenge #250 – Skyscapes or Cloudscapes

  2. Lovely gallery. The Mississippi River was a great right place/ right time moment, wasn’t it. Actually all your photos were. A water spout. Double rainbow. Mountains floating in the clouds. Womderfu

  3. Marvelous choices Beth – we saw similar skies in Alaska – they were mesmerizing! As usual we share an amazing similarity here when storms hang over the marsh – typically in the spring. I loved that one which felt so close to home. The Mississippi sunrise is spectacular

    1. Thanks Tina! The storms over the marsh and ocean create some fantastic skies. I would have missed that Mississippi sunrise if I wasn’t such an early riser.

  4. Amazing skies! The last one is my favourite – the coloured skies do not cover the whole image, but is very clearly separated from the rest of the sky. Unusual. Beautiful.
