Lens Artists Photo Challenge #316 – Destination Fun

Egidio has asked us “what do you do for fun?” Whether I’m traveling or staying at home I try to have a little fun each and every day.

As a retired couple in our 70’s, Henry and I don’t travel as much or as far from home as we used to. We spent many years having fun traveling around the United States and Canada in our RV but these days we go on short road trips or take a cruise when we travel.

I have fun attending special events and celebrations.

Attending the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta for the the first time

I have fun being in nature and like to find fun in the simple things around me.

Spotting a Roseate Spoonbill for the first time this year
Sunrise on a morning beach walk

  1. Beth, first of all, thanks for joining in the fun. Your photos are so beautiful and evoke happiness and tranquility in the things you and Henry do. I loved the sets you shared, and especially, the Alaska photo. It was breathtaking.

    1. Egidio, many thanks. It was a fun challenge! At first I had a hard time deciding how to approach the challenge. Some of the fun things we used to enjoy we don’t do any more so I finally focused on recent fun activities.

  4. Although Peggy and I continue to wander, I’ve always felt that there are magnificent adventures close to home, heck, even in our backyard, Beth. Curiosity and paying attention open up whole new worlds. Great photos. Mine would have included a picture of a book! 😄

  6. Honestly Beth, I could have written the same text you did and it would still be accurate! Apparently we have more in common than our geography! Loved all of your choices but my favorite was the hot air balloon image. I’d love to see something like that!

    1. Tina, I had a hard time deciding how far back I should go with the fun things we’ve done. I finally just included things from the last couple of years. The balloon fiesta was so much fun. I hope you will get to see hot air balloons one day. They are so amazing to see.
