This challenge from Sofia is Mellow. She asks us to “Show us what gives you a mellow mood of calmness and cosiness; your favourite spot to relax, a beautiful scenery, a nice cup of coffee with a delicious slice of cake… and convey that sense of relaxation, with subdued warm tones, soft shapes and focus.”
The featured image is a sunset over a Georgia salt marsh. I hope the rest of the images bring you a sense of calm.

Mellow Yellow Hibiscus

Last week Ritva’s challenge was Books. I loved seeing all of the books and libraries from so many book lovers. Next week will be my first week hosting the Lens-Artists challenge. Look for my post on Saturday, June 14 at noon Eastern Standard Time.
Many thanks to Sofia for this challenge Lens-Artists #352 – Mellow

Wonderful mellows Beth! I loved the morning tea, although I prefer coffee in the morning and then switch to tea!😍

Anne, many thanks. I’m glad you liked the mellows. I never have been a coffee drinker but I do enjoy my morning tea. I don’t fix a fancy tea service at home. That was at a wonderful hotel our first morning in Ireland a few years ago.

The relaxing mood was set with the first, wonderful shot! I’d also prefer coffee to tea, but that is the perfect setting 🙂

Sofia, thank you for this challenge. The hardest part was narrowing down the number of images to include. I’m glad you enjoyed the first sunset image and the tea service. I enjoyed that morning tea in our hotel on our first morning in Ireland a few years ago.

What a beautifully calming collection of images! The sunset over the salt marsh truly captures that mellow, peaceful vibe Sofia described. I especially love the swing by the beach — it looks like the perfect spot to unwind and soak in nature’s quiet. Thanks for sharing such serene moments! Looking forward to your upcoming challenge.

A beautiful post Beth. Loved the “cuppa” image especially and the swing is also a terrific example. Gotta love the mellow yellow sunset!

Tina, thank you so much. I wish someone would bring that tea service to me every day LOL (we were in a hotel in Ireland). Usually when I want to sit on a swing at the beach someone is already there. I was glad I could get a photo of an empty swing one morning.

Lovely sunsets Beth and what could be more mellow than a cup of tea, brewed in a pot, to start the day 🙂
