Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #168 – Seen Better Days

Tina has asked us to explore places and things that have seen better days.

In the image above, we discovered this abandoned boat on the beach in Washington State. Did it wash ashore after it sank or did someone just abandon it there?

In the next photo we know what happened to the red sailboat. A strong hurricane washed it into the marsh in coastal Georgia. We don’t know where it came from but someone eventually was able to tow it away.

Alaska and Colorado still have some buildings and rusty equipment that are leftover from the gold mining days.

The Honeymoon Cottage in Cedar Key, Florida was once a destination cottage that stood on stilts over the water. Over the years, storms took their toll on the building until now the only thing left is a place for the birds to perch.
