Lens Artists Photo Challenge #413 – Bridges

I am excited to be your host this week. The challenge is for you to show us your favorite bridge images. You can feature any kind of bridge: natural bridges, foot bridges, swinging bridges, highway bridges, stone bridges, railroad bridges, or any other kind of bridge you can think of.

I live in an area where there are many bridges. I have to cross a bridge over a creek just to leave my neighborhood. I have seen many kinds of bridges during my travels and enjoy photographing them. I hope the following bridges from our travels will give you a few ideas. I can’t wait to see your responses.

  8. Ohmigosh, Beth, this is like a visual clinic on how to shoot bridges. Your shots are amazing and they’ll surely make all the viewers wish to visit those bridges in person. My favourite is the “natural bridge” it’s stunning, and taken from the perfect vantage point. Thank you so much for choosing this topic for our challenge this week. I. Love. Bridges.   12. Methinks you have a fondness for photographing bridges. Some great examples, the architecture like I’ve never seen before.

    I like the Columbia River bridge, mainly because I’ve seen seen a stell bridge with that square arch before.

    The covered bridge in Bath is lovely too. Reminds me of the movie The Bridges of Madison County.

    1. Vicki, many thanks! You are right. I enjoy photographing bridges! I’m glad you like the Columbia River bridge and the covered bridge in Bath. I have photos of all of the Bridges of Madison County but I have used them before so chose the one from Bath instead.

  17. My, my, my Beth…you DO get around!! Loved your challenge AND your response! First, I had no idea the Panama Canal had a bridge and second I really loved the quaint covered bridge in Bath. But all are wonderful as usual!

    2. Thanks Tina! Technically, the Atlantic Bridge is at the entrance to the Panama Canal on the Atlantic side near Colon, Panama. Ships going through the Gatun Lock from the Atlantic side pass under the bridge before going through the lock. I enjoyed seeing the covered bridges in New England. I’m glad you like this one. Thank you for your response to the challenge.

  23. You sure grabbed my attention when I scrolled to the covered bridge in Bath. 🙂 It is about an hour and a half north of here and is about six miles from where I spent my summers with my grandparents. I can’t count the number of times I’ve visited that area. Thanks for the memories.
